I think you should know some gross fact about this product. This viggie dog sales at Trader Joes, where I work. On this day I was working the sample shop serving this product to customers. As I stood there preparing a sample for a women she asked incredulously,"is it vegan"? Sarcastically with a smirk of humor, "well it says vegetarian"! Behind her stood one of my crew member's who is passionate about reading labels. "Pardon me" he says's since he's jumping in here. "Frankly NO it's not. Read the ingredients on the back and you'll find carmine. This is used to create the color in the veggie dog. It comes from bug guts" A smile of serious tone lingered on his face as the women and I said "no way"! I promised to go on line and read about it hoping to find my Friend wrong. How could they put this disgusting ingredient in a vegetarian dish? Well they did. So with no more to say, but check it out your self. Even if your not vegetarian or vegan, do you wish to put this into your fabulous body? You decide.
